The Department of Political Science offers an exciting and dynamic environment, where students will find some of the world's top programs in political science and multidisciplinary fields including international studies, political economy and political communication.

The Department has an enviable international reputation for its research, and its professors are regularly asked for their views, both on Canadian and international tribunes. Indeed, faculty members hail from around the globe, and regularly organize lectures and debates that lend to a rich and stimulating intellectual atmosphere.

Thanks to the Department's exchange and co-operation programs (in French) with institutions abroad, students can spend 1 or 2 terms at other universities in the Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe. In addition, internships offered by the Department help students find jobs.

You will meet enthusiastic professors, trained at the leading universities in North America and Europe, conducting original research into a variety of topical subjects. Most students find their classes stimulating and come away with knowledge and skills they put to use throughout their careers.
